I am Varun. I work at a collision shop in Calgary.
We were paying three hundred dollars a month for shop management software that could do a hundred things. We used about six of them and all six took too many clicks. The office dreaded opening it, so mostly it did not get opened, and the real work went back into a spreadsheet where it had always been.
I have a computer science degree. I spent a year building those six things properly, sitting in the office watching what actually slowed everybody down, and rewriting the parts that were wrong until they were not.
It reads the export file your estimating software already writes, because that file is the truth and everybody in this trade types it in again by hand. It does not recalculate your totals, because you are the one who has to argue with the adjuster. It does not ask you to change how you write estimates, because there is nothing wrong with how you write estimates.
Shops run on it now. I answer the phone myself, and if something is wrong you tell me and I fix it.
Where I am, and what happens to your data
I am at a body shop in Calgary between eleven and five on weekdays. Mornings, evenings and weekends I am on the phone. Anything urgent, text me.
Your data is backed up nightly to a place separate from the photos, and the restore has been tested. You can export all of it as spreadsheets any time without asking me. There is no contract.
